What’s in the past is just that—the past.
You can’t go back, and you can’t change it. It’s simply there.
I know it hurt.
I know it wasn’t fair.
And no—it wasn’t your fault.
And that is okay.
God didn’t just say, “Forget the former things. ”He also said, “Look to the new things.”
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”— Isaiah 43:18–19
That job you’re praying for.
That husband you’re waiting on.
That pregnancy test you’re hoping will finally read positive.
Have the faith to hope.
Have the courage to hold on to what God has for you.
Hope can change how you see everything.
It can strengthen your faith in ways you never imagined.
Those things from your past?
They didn’t break you.
They strengthened you for who you are right now.
The healed you.
The whole you.
The person God created you to be.
So don’t regret what you’ve been through.
It built you for the person God is calling forth—
the person with bold strength,
the person with godly confidence.
God is forming you.
God is shaping you—
through the past,
through the challenges of today,
and through the breakthroughs still to come.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”— Romans 8:28
